ATI has advanced its leadership role
in the graphics industry by partnering with Imaging Science Research
Labs (ISF) to certify
ATI’s PC graphics and multimedia hardware with Windows® XP
Media Center Edition operating system. The result is an unprecedented
assurance of quality and industry-leading standards in graphics
and multimedia technology.
What is ISF?
ISF is well known for consumer digital
imaging evaluation and testing. In cooperation with Microsoft®,
ISF is now responsible for certifying hardware for Windows® XP
Media Center Edition.
This certification signifies that ATI’s PC component products
designed for Windows® XP Media Center Edition have been rigorously
tested to comply with the most exacting audio/visual quality
standards in the industry.
Why is ISF certification important?
The ISF certification and
logo confirms the technological excellence of ATI’s PC
graphics and multimedia products and assures ATI consumers that
they are getting the highest quality hardware
available for their Media Center PCs.
Together, ATI and ISF are working to ensure that ATI’s
OEM and retail products intended for Windows® XP Media Center
Edition meet or exceed all home entertainment-based quality criteria,
including artifact-free video playback performance, superb color
rendition, reliability and low-noise operation.
