Features

The ATI RAGE IIC is an integrated 2D, 3D and video accelerator, available in both PCI and AGP variants, which brings great 3D performance to all segments of the PC market. It incorporates all features of the 3D RAGE II+, and includes optimizations which result in even more impressive 2D and 3D performance.

The RAGE IIC incorporates improved testability for industry leading quality levels, and adds full PCI Power Management support.

A wide variety of memory configurations are supported, allowing implementations designed for low cost as well as high performance SGRAM and SDRAM configurations with full performance at deep color depths and high resolutions up to 1600x1200.

The RAGE IIC delivers 3D performance which is unmatched in its class, along with comprehensive 3D features including perspectively correct texturing, mip-mapping, bilinear and trilinear filtering, Z-buffering, video texturing, Gouraud shading, and alpha blending.

RAGE IIC incorporates excellent video support, suitable for MPEG-2 content and video conferencing acceleration. Support for the ATI Multimedia Channel (AMC) is also included, allowing upgrades such as ATI-TV and ATI-DVD.

TV-out support is available through ATI’s ImpacTV2 companion chip, which incorporates a 6-tap flicker filter for unmatched quality
