“The combination of a fast processor and an 8xAGP (advanced
graphics processor) ATI Radeon 9100 graphics system makes the
Zen a snappy performer.”

“Overall the P4R800-V Deluxe and the Radeon 9100 IGP chipset that the motherboard
is based on are both solid products. If you're in the market for an integrated
solution, the choice is a no-brainer, as Intel's integrated graphics aren't in
the same league as the graphics provided by ATI's Radeon 9100 IGP.”

“Overall, we are impressed with the ASUS P4R800-V Deluxe. For the money,
it doesn't get any better than this. The 9100 IGP will be enough to satisfy the
needs of a casual gamer. To date, the 9100 IGP is the only integrated Direct
X 8.1 solution available. The ASUS P4R800-V Deluxe would also be a great choice
for a low cost entertainment system,. We feel that it is only a matter of time
before other motherboard manufactures start producing feature rich full form
factor 9100 IGP motherboards.

“What to say about the P4R800V Deluxe. Being the only full ATX IGP9100
board available on the market, Asus has done well with the IGP9100 core logic.
The board is quite a value at $125. The innovative “LAT” Ethernet
controller is an interesting alternative to Intel’s CSA that should offer
better throughput with GBe compared to PCI adaptors. Performance wise the P4R800V
Deluxe is comparable with other IGP9100 based solutions. As a desktop main board,
the P4R800V Deluxe would make a good basis for a system if you’re low on
budget or interested in taking advantage of ATI’s Surroundview.“

“There may be some that would question the lack of an
AGP slot in this XPC. I am not one of them. The Radeon 9100 IGP
chipset is the fastest, most feature-rich integrated graphics
chipset available, bar none. In many cases, the integrated graphics
is fully capable of playing virtually every game that I'm currently
playing, just not necessarily at the highest resolutions or settings.
For the casual gamer, this can't be beat.”

"This weapons-grade computer from Shuttle boasts 512 MB of RAM, an E-Home

“
The Gigabyte 8TRS300M shows remarkable stability and good performance
for such a low cost integrated card with good quality video.
Based on the R9100IGP, it has changed the concept of integrated
boards from a low end 2D desktop board to something that could
be used not only for 2D but also for basic 3D games at a fraction
of the costs as compared to the Intel 865G platforms or SiS 661
platforms.”

...at 1024x768 it's actually faster than the GeForce FX 5200..."
"
....the Radeon 9100 IGP clearly puts the hurt on the other two
graphics solutions."
"
Turn the resolution up to 1024x768 and you really separate the
men from the boys. All the games save FS 2004 really go to the
dogs. The Radeon 9100 IGP, however, manages to hold onto playable
frame rates in almost all the games and is sometimes 50% faster
than the nForce2. We attribute this to the faster clock speed,
better bandwidth efficiency, and the use of pixel shaders to
improve the rendering efficiency in some games."

"ATI's Radeon 9100 IGP is another excellent chipset. It supports all the
latest technologies - dual channel DDR400, 800MHz FSB, AGP 8X, Hyper-Threading,
and also boasts an integrated graphics core.....the 9100 IGP offers the best
integrated graphics core of any chipset on the market. It's also the only chipset
with integrated graphics to offer programmable pixel shader support (which you'll
need if you want to see next generation games like Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 in
all their glory.)"

"The ability of a integrated graphics chipset to rival value graphics cards
is something that dreams were made of. The Radeon 9100 IGP aims to make that
dream a reality."
"The performance, value and functionality all married into a product that
costs £75
is an outstanding achievement. If gaming is to succeed as a socially accepted,
popular past time then the computing world needs more products like the Radeon
9100 IGP, something that brings gaming to more people at a lower price point."

"When we look at the performance of the 865 integrated graphics in comparison
to the 9100 IGP there isn't really any sensible comparison - at the highest resolution
the 9100 IGP is actually 10 times faster than Intel's integrated graphics."

"Only the ATI Radeon 9100 IGP system completed our game tests.
The GeForce FX 5200 PC repeatedly crashed to the Windows
desktop on the Serious Sam SE test, and the Intel 865G
machine was unable to complete three of the eight tests-Comanche
4, IL-2 Sturmovik, and UT 2003."

Today another chipset milestone was reached: ATI Radeon

was formally announced."

"The Radeon 9100 IGP raises the bar for the value/mainstream
segment which is a good thing for the whole gaming community.
ATI is allowing game developers to raise their minimum standards
by providing pixel shader support to the integrated market
segment. ATI it seems is committed to doing this for all
market segments."

"From the quick performance numbers we took the integrated
graphics performance seems to be quite capable of playing

shaders enabled - certainly this will be a big step up from
Intel's i845 or i865 gaming performance."
