ATI's Radeon® X800 XT Platinum Edition Awarded "Kick Ass" Rating by Maximum PC
First Head-to-Head Review in Print Confirms Web Sites' Conclusions and
Declares Radeon X800 the Winner

MARKHAM, Ontario – Maximum PC has awarded ATI’s Radeon®
X800 XT Platinum Edition its coveted “Kick Ass” award,
in a direct head-to-head comparison with the competition. This
review, the first to appear in a print magazine, backs up the
findings of the major websites, which also lauded the performance
of the Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition, including Anandtech, CNET,
ExtremeTech, GameSpy, HardOCP and Tom’s Hardware Guide.
ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) announced the Radeon
X800 XT Platinum Edition on May 4 and it is now available in stores.
This is the fifth consecutive high-end product from ATI to win
Maximum PC’s highest accolade. Other ATI winners include
the Radeon® 9700 PRO, Radeon® 9800 PRO, Radeon®
9800XT, All-in-Wonder™ 9700, All-in-Wonder™ 9800,
Mobility Radeon® 7500 and the Mobility Radeon® 9000.
This latest “Kick Ass” rating by Maximum PC is one
of many awards worldwide that the Radeon X800 Platinum Edition
has received from top media outlets. Awards include “Must
Have Hardware” from HardOCP, Editor’s Choice from
CNET, and the “Heavenly Hardware Gold Award” from
Driver Heaven.
